Kevin has been in the trade since 1982. In business since 1986. He started in structural framing, learned the engineering side of renovation, and built a reputation across Nassau County as the contractor you call when the job involves more than cosmetics. Work We’ve Done in Your Neighborhood
Westbury — 1960s Colonial
The wall between the kitchen and living room was load-bearing — a double-stud center wall carrying roof loads across the full width of the house. We removed it, installed a properly engineered LVL beam, and transferred the load to new bearing points. The first floor opened up completely.
East Meadow — 1970s Ranch
End-to-end solid brick fireplace wall with original brass doors. We designed flanking built-ins — 18-inch deep lower cabinets, upper shelving to the ceiling — built a custom millwork surround with a new mantel, and raised the hearth with bluestone. The wall went from the most dated thing in the room to the focal point.
Sea Cliff — Vaulted Great Room
Exposed Doug Fir framing from a new extension didn’t match the home. We milled white oak on-site, wrapped every beam with mitered corners and Domino floating joinery — no face nails, no cover strips — and finished with a hand-rubbed tar and mineral spirits stain. Construction lumber became the defining feature of the room.
